More Canada Energy Deals May Follow Korea’s Harvest Acquisition

Oct. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Korea National Oil Corp.’s agreement to buy Harvest Energy Trust for a 37 percent premium may be followed by more deals for Canadian energy companies as crude prices continue to rise, investors said.
“There is a lot of product out there to be bought, and it seems that financial markets are cooperative and companies are able to raise the money to buy,” said Les Stelmach, co-manager of the C$400 million ($381 million) Bisset Income Fund in Calgary.
