Fondly known as Matt, he is well known among his friends for his aggressive and ambitious approach in projects that he undertakes. Currently, Matt serves as the Chief Executive Officer of InfoValley Sdn. Bhd., a specialized, development stage bioinformatics company. Matt is also managing his corporate business consultancy in the capacity of principal consultant with Farooq Consultants Sdn. Bhd. for a number of large multinationals covering automotive, telecommunication, information & communication technology, specialty chemicals and financial institutions.

Over the last few years, he has been extensively involved in a number of early stage biotechnology and bioinformatics initiatives. Matt has been participating aggressively in nurturing of a joint-venture partnership with DNAP Genomics Inc, based in Florida, United States. The Malaysian partnership company is known as DNA Phenomics Sdn. Bhd. in which Matt holds the position of Vice President, Business Development.
