COMPASSIONATE USE
I vaguely remember someone saying here or on Yahoo about a disease victim being able to sue the FDA to allow an unapproved device to be used as a last resort under 'compassionate use' rules. Does anyone know if a dying H1N1 patient could do this, and what would it take for them to be allowed to use the Hemopurifier to save a life? If they're dying anyway, what's to lose?
There may not be thousands of H1N1 deaths daily yet, but ONE is a lot if its your loved one. I know if I was at death's door, I'd give it a try, if I could.
