They melt it down using a wood fire would be my guess, and pour it in steel frames. They do not buy gold in bags or containers as they have weight and Gold is so expensive. Can you imagine carrying in a 5 gallon bucket of gold flakes and nuggets and dust, the bags you see in the movies are a joke, gold dust would fall through the cloth.
