Someone posted here on Friday and raised a good point, if pathogens could develop resistance to ozone, just as they have to many antibiotics.
I sent an e-mail to Dr. Shannon, asking him if he can respond to this question, and here's what he wrote:
".... I suppose that anything is possible and therefore MRSA or C difficle could mutate sufficiently to eventually become immune but that certainly has not occurred in water purification plants using ozone. Like antibiotics, the best safeguard against such a possibility is to use a lethal dose of O3 at all time to ensure that the survivability of mutant strains is minimized as much as possible."
Sounds like this is not much of a concern in practice, but it can't be ruled out in theory.
Let me add that for those of us who have been around forever on Raging Bull, the enthusiasm that is expressed on this thread is a breath of fresh air. This is exactly what we have been dreaming about for years and years, and weren't ever sure if the day would ever come. Keep it up!
