IMO it's just likely that there were several teams working on Yamhill.


I have to disagree.

It appears that Intel just copied AMD's extensions, that saved many man hours, that saved money, especially development costs. Houses and chips are quite different.

I don't know what Intel is going to do with I2, I know they and HP have said they will support it for years to come. As to the direction of Intel, only time will tell.
