Using wood for co-generation is the way to go because it drastically boosts efficiency number. Hot water is a form of thermal energy, but the medium is water vs. air. Water has a higher specific heat and holds its thermal energy more than air does.
Laidlaw is doing all the right moves by providing hot water to Fraser in addition to producing power. From what we know, the MA plant is co-generation also. Very nice.
