In response to my question regarding divy and NSS.
I received the following email from Ameritrade:

Thank you for contacting us today regarding your account.

1.
If a security you hold in your Ameritrade account pays a cash dividend, the credit will be added to your cash balance in the account. You may leave the balance in your account, or request a check each time a dividend is posted.

You may elect to have your account coded to have your dividends mailed out at the end of the month. Here is how it works; The dividend total needs to be at least $10 and the check is mailed out on the Thursday before the last Friday of each month.

2.
At this time, we have no reason to believe that the shares showing in your account are a result of a purchase from a naked short sell. However, the company trades as a "Pink Sheet" and is subject to less stringent reporting requirements, so it is impossible for Ameritrade to guarantee that good delivery of the purchased shares will be made.

Concerning the restricted shares of US Canadian Minerals shares, Ameritrade does mark the shares in your account. We are awaiting a physical certificate for the restricted shares held through Ameritrade.

If you have any questions and wish to contact us via e-mail, please log into your account and send your inquiry using the "E-mail Us" link which can be found in the navigation bar at the left side of any page within your account. Select the Reorganization & Dividend Inquiry Form.
