Krombacher, I think there is a mixture of reasons the news was released the way it was.
First one wells preliminary information is not significant to Senopec or Addix
Second, companies are very aware of the litigation environment and don't want to say anything someone can come back later and file suite over
Third, the information is being restricted by the operator, who want to release on their schedule, and
Forth, the operators are not done with their analysis and ready to declare if they have a elephant or a mouse.
