Just doesn't seem right. If I eat 1lb of meat, how come I don't gain 1 lb when I step on the scale?

Sigh... I'm going to bed after this...

If you weigh yourself before you eat the meat, then eat a pound of meat, and the go weigh yourself again *right after* -- you will be... wait for it....



1 pound heavier.

Do you permanently gain a pound from doing this? No. Because your body requires energy to function. Some of the meat is converted into useful energy and some of it is expelled as waste.
