CEMJQ STOCKHOLDERS ALLIANCE

Open letter to all stockholders of Chemtura Corporation (CEMJQ.PK)



We are seeking to form the Chemtura Stockholder’s Alliance (the Alliance) in the matter of Chemtura Corporation that is currently being held before the Honorable Judge Robert Gerber in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court within the Southern District of New York. Case # 09-11233.



It is the goal of the Alliance to present to the Court a true and complete list of all interested stockholders including all of the pertinent information required, for the express purpose of obtaining from the Court the right to represent our interests in Chemtura’s ongoing Chapter 11 cases. The Alliance is not an Ad Hoc Committee , but rather a compiled list of like minded retail investors seeking meaningful recovery of their interests in Chemtura.



To date, we believe there has been inadequate representation of shareholder interests before the court in these chapter 11 cases, though we are the party that stands to bear the majority of the economic burden of the costs associated with filing, administrating, litigating and emerging from chapter 11 bankruptcy. Without any action on behalf of the current stockholders, without regard to the size of the holdings, we feel that all of the other interested parties whose interests enjoy priority standing to those of equity holders will receive benefits that would rightfully inure to the current equity holders.



We are currently seeking any and all stockholders, who are willing to put forward their names, contact information, and shares owned at the present time. The information you submit must be complete and true as of the submission date. Furthermore, any reply received will be held in the strictest of confidence until filed and presented to the court as required. It is only by aggregating all of the replies that we will be able to compile a master list and petition the court on a unified front to have a voice in the final outcome of these chapter 11 cases.

Any and all stockholders that have responded to an informal estimate of willing participants via the internet are now strongly urged to respond again to this posting. Their participation was appreciated for research purposes, but in a joint and continuing effort, of and with that venture, we now seek to formalize the process.
