"Letter of Intent to Acquire" Means they have or are making an offer to purchase said TV station...
Not "already acquired" or even "Buying" it is an offer with no contractual binding agreement in place for anything.
They made an offer, cool glad to hear it.
I can walk up to anyone and say that I "Intend to acquire" Microsoft and even write them a letter and post a PR about it...
It doesn't mean that Bill Gates is going to sell it to me...
