About the Job

VP, Human Resources

Reporting into the COO, this role will be responsible for developing, leading and managing the Human Resources function.​

Responsibilities include:

* Ensure the development of an effective, efficient, and responsive HR administrative infrastructure – including the establishment and implementation of a strategic recruitment plan and process to meet aggressive business targets.​
* Creation and implementation of a comprehensive Employee Value Proposition to include:

Ø Providing competitive and cost effective benefits programs to employees to ensure/​establish “employer of choice” status

Ø Working with the COO, CEO, Board of Directors and Compensation Committee to ensure a competitive “pay-for-performance” compensation strategy (base salary, bonus and equity) that attracts, rewards and retains high-performing employees.​

Ø Development and communication of organization mission, vision and values that will drive employee engagement and productivity.​



· Ensure alignment of HR strategies to business strategies including:

Ø Managing organizational transformation and change by creating and sustaining a culture that enables employees to thrive and develop.​

Ø Design and develop an integrated performance management system to support the development of employees.​

Ø Facilitate a climate of open and honest communication, and partner with senior management to foster a positive team-based culture.​

Ø Ensure appropriate Human Resources policies and procedures are in place to effectively communicate with and manage employees.​

Ø Identify organizational training and development needs, and coordinate resources to address these needs.​

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field required; MA HR/​OD or related advanced degree preferred.​
* Prior experience in a minimum of one of the following; large biotech, small biotech or pharmaceutical industry required.​
* 15+ ​ years experience in Human Resources; minimum of 3+​ years at a senior level in a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial organization.​
* Extensive experience and demonstrated confidence presenting to and interacting with members of the executive team including CEO, President, COO, CFO and Board Members
* Proven experience as a strategic thinker with business acumen and customer focus.​
* Broad generalist experience with a strong background in key HR functional areas, exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills and a bias for action.​
* Proven ability to creatively partner with management in addressing organizational issues and business needs.​
* Demonstrated ability to lead change efforts; advanced consulting and project management skills
* Strong coaching, influencing, interpersonal and communication skills, plus expert relationship building and collaboration skills at all levels of an organization.​
* Ability to hire, lead and develop an innovative Human Resources function.​
