Tis true, but unfortunately it is hard for many to believe that most every promoted pinkie is a scam. Rightly so really, as who would think that crime is pretty much allowed to go on again and again in public view for so long, many times by the same folks.

Everyone has seen a noob go "well if it is such an obvious scam then why has the SEC not shut it down" more than a couple times.
Greed and financial desperation also play a good part i expect, it is the saddest to see someone who thinks they are going to pay off their medical bills or something like that get conned by some thief here because of their desperation.
