Received a letter from FINRA in the mail today. It was regarding a complaint I filed against Scottrade. They said they received my complaint, and have asked Scottrade to respond to all of the issues I brought up (no buy restriction, all other online brokers allow buying of SYNJ, etc.). FINRA said I should be receiving a formal response from Scottrade by October 13th.

It should be interesting to hear what their "official stance" is.
