Swift was at the National SCDAA annual meeting in Orlando YESTERDAY openly slandering Dr. Pandey STILL! This guy has got some incredible nerve!!!!
Apparently Dr. Toshiro Asakura was slated to give the talk on Nicosan but instead it was Robert Swift. Not only that but the talk was given ahead of schedule so that many people only heard the very tail end of the lecture. (now is that not just the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard? Come on!!!! First Asakura gets replaced by Swift and then he makes a point to jump the gun and start early so that no one really gets the message? What a CROCK OF SH17!)
My eyes and ears at the conference there at first had no idea of who it was that was speaking in Asakura's stead and was then informed that it was R. Swift much to her surprise, this parent of a sickler who has now been following the company over the past 3 years since reading one of my blogs on Nicosan. Believe me this woman was not about to miss a second of the Nicosan presentation and she only got to hear a tiny portion of what was said. She was mad as hell!
She said "Bob" was incredibly arrogant and that his demeanor just really oozed a green karma that made you want to shrink from him. Directly after his speech he was assailed by of course a sizable group of people with SCD or parents of SCD children. There was apparently quite a hearty discussion this year since so many new people have now been exposed to the drug. One fellow who had been successfully taking Nicosan remarked that the latter batches he had received prior to the discontinuation of production had made him quite ill (nausea, vomiting) as well as the lack of potency in those last few bottles he took to Swift. Our man "Bob" proceeded to once again blame Dr. Pandey for this deficiency even though this would have been decidedly only stock that had been produced under his own, errrrr, how can we really say this delicately.......uhhhhh, "supervision". Supposedly "Bob" continued on to be blaming Dr. Pandey for all the woes and ills that have befallen the company over the past 2 years of his absence and "Bob's" tenure. Dr. Pandey and the words "bad management" were the catch phrases of his entire diatribe for the brief intercourse with questioning folk there. Oh and he was haranguing on and on about those stupid patents and how many countries they were NOT secured in even though like anyone give a rat's ass that we don't have an active patent in Burkina Faso or the West Side of Papua New Guinea. Don't bother mentioning that we do have it in every Western Country and emerging nation that really counts and that it was not up to Xechem to monitor this but rather up to the Nigerian Government because they ultimately own the drug and only licensed it to Xechem. Hahahahahahaaha, So my eyes and ears there played clean-up girl after all of the detrius that had fallen from "Bob's" mouth to a somewhat but not completely naive audience there. :)
He was not well received by his questioners to say the least and my friend did a nice job of speaking with most of the group that remained after a somewhat disinterested "Bob" had left the area.
This story was relayed to be yesterday evening by phone directly from the conference just after these events unfolded. Swift is really pissing off a lot more people than he is making any friends.
I have to apologize for having been away so long. There have been some tremendous changes in my life over the past few months. I've been under a lot of stress and had to make some very tough decisions about the direction my life was headed. I just want everyone to know that my interest in the drug and this company has not waned but that I have just been incredibly distracted by that little thing called LIFE.
I'm still here, still kickin' and planning on being back with a vengeance in not too long! :)))))
