Balance, Spp and all, I'm just catching up but some real good post this evening.

Balance, if a target zone/s lays flat or level, you can drill one hole and find the top and bottom of the oil. Take those elevations, along with the porosity and match it up with the seismic and figure appx how much oil that target holds. But it may take several wells to produce that target. The make up of the zone (Permability) dictates how many wells it will take. As in Akpo, it may take several.

Kina looks to be on an slope/anticline and they drilled into the top. They may come out and say we have 400 ft of net pay, XXX ft of gas and XXX ft of oil but will not know how many bbls until they drill down slope and find the bottom of the oil.
Kina looks to cover about 5 sq miles. One well per qtr section would be 20 wells and probably go into one production unit.

Too many unknowns for anyone to even make a WAG.
