That sentence does not say they are provding chips to apple. It says there is a strong demad for "flash products". You are making a very big supposition here. That blurb is suggesting there is a correlation and that's it.

In addition to strong demand in Southern China, demand by Apple for FLASH products for its newly launched iPhone 3G S was also strong."

Sounds like a general statement about the demand for flash products, which this company sells.
