In other news, the Government of Taiwan has now completed the first step of the final evaluation phase of Advanced ID's RFID tags and readers. Li Jian-gi, President of the Tainan Veterinarian Association and Project Leader on behalf of the government, reported that of the hogs identified to date in each field site, the evaluation parameters such as retention, reading distance and data base compliance have exceeded expectations. Li Jian-gi expects to report to the Legislature in November the final results of the government tests. The government of Taiwan has funded the final evaluation phase and has already approved a budget for implementation of an identification and trace back program for up to an initial eight million hogs as previously reported.
