I lived in Germany for awhile while in the Army. I will have to say, the German way of life was far more attractive. They do pay some pretty high taxes and you do hear people complain about it, however they seem far more happier. Crime is almost nonexistent and you can drive as fast as you want on the highway because they seem to be smarter too haha! They also are far more "free" to do as they please than we are in the U.S.. So much so it would make right wing religious nuts heads explode.

If I had to compare the U.S. to Germany in a quick sentence..

In Germany everything was very efficient but inconvenient. In the U.S. everything is very convenient but inefficient.

That was the key thing I noticed.
