I'm sure parts of it will fail and others will succeed. That's what congress does, they negotiate. The problem however is that they are not in meeting's trying to debate fundamental problems with health care and finding solutions. They are in meeting's negotiating a way for everyone involved to save face among their constituents.

I've already stated that my ideas are not represented at all. I'm merely along for the ride in all of this. I have NO control over what happens at this point. If I don't like what happens, then I will vote accordingly in the next election. It really is that simple to me. I do not get fired up over things I can not control. It is simply a waste of my energy.

If I could have it my way, I would completely abolish health insurance companies entirely, they do nothing for the industry. I would institute a Government run single payer system. It would be run by a board of directors, of which would be represented by individuals from the various industries. The government would control and cap pharmaceuticals.

At the same time however, I would abolish the IRS in its entirety. A consumption tax of 10% would be placed on all goods bought and sold except for clothing, housing and food. States would be able to levy their own taxes much like they currently do. There would be no tax on capital gains.

Common sense subsidies would be put into place for the poor.

National Service would be mandatory, at the age of 18, everyone would be required to serve in the Military, or provide public service (park clean up, administration etc.) for a period of 2 years.

Victimless crime laws would be removed from the books. Prohibition of Marijuana lifted. Items such as "junk food", "fast food", alcohol etc.. would be taxed at 30%. This would be used to pay for education programs.

College should be made affordable at all costs.

Last but certainly not least.. the ending of corporate finance of PAC's.

I could go on and on.. but, as you can see, I have my own list of things I would do if I could. None of which have any chance at all of being discussed, much less passed.
