Personally, alot of things fit......and also his "underground" nature since when he had a blog and if he was a subcontractor that might have negatively impacted his employment so he closes down the blog and resurfaces as "Oilphant" to poke some fun at (possibly) all the "investors" who are helping to propogate the status quo in Nigeria....
