Unions do seem to drive costs up.
In WY it's a right to work state. It takes a $45K a yr. salary (in some areas $35K) to be middle class.
IE- Places that have unions seem to have $50+ an hr carpenters. That certainly would drive the price of a house up in turn requiring the carpenter to need more money to own a house etc... I cycle that snowballs IMO.
