There are two programs out there called Medicare and Medicaid, who do you think runs them: Its the government, and they have been running for over 40 years, they have brought about alot of relief for millions of Americans over that span, there is not one person who has ever had a parent of Grandparent who has not "Benefited" from this program. It is RUN by the Government.

There are also the many health care Government programs that directly benefit children under the age of 18 who are struck down with serious health issues, who's parents cannot afford, or cannot get health insurance.

This has been going on for over 20 years, do you just choose to ignore the america I have grown up with, or do you just choose to ignore it to express your detest for the government.

While we are on the subject you trust the government to DEFEND this country with some of the most destructive weapons ever known too mankind, but thats ok, just don't bother to insure the 20 % of American that cannot get healthcare. I mean I am thoroughtly amazed you keep posting, as an example, I have CANCER; NO, I repeat NO Insurance company will touch me with coverage, what is my alternative, and why do these health insurance companies have the right to tell me I do NOT get health insurance. Let's pretend you are the insurance company, you sell insurance, but you have a customer, ME, and I have a pre-existing condition, its called CANCER, and you tell me I cannot have any insurance. But if the government comes up with a public plan that allows me get health insurance, you stand up and say NO.

Even Bush signed into law the Pharmacy bill, you remember that 675 Billion program, that provides the medicene to those same senoirs. I mean I do not understand you at all, its ok to spend whatever amount of money on weapons of mass destruction for the defending of this country but god for bid someone needs an opration to save his life.

Bush, wasn't it he that started the Department of Homeland Security, never even thought to ask how much that one was, but you trust the government to make this country safe, but wait a second, healthcare for america, it just cannot be done.

Its ok for the government to oversee the Education of All americas, and the right for all americans to recieve an education, but not healthcare. What is it about healthcare that you are so afraid of. Healthcare is already messed up because of true lack of oversight of this industry. Health Insurance is out of contol, it serves the industry, but not the patients. What is it you don't get, there is a vast population who cannot AFFORD health insurance, so they don't get any. Who the HELL are you to take such a basic right from any american. You were probably arguing against food stamps when that bill was introduced, lets debate that one for 20-30 years while all those people starve themselves death.

Do you ever go to church, do you ever listen to the words spoken, treat others as you would have them treat you, be kind to your fellow man. Americans can give to every charilty, but god forbid we provide healthcare.

During Hurrican Katrina I was yelling at the TV to please help those people who were surrounded by water, or on rooftops, thats what I pay my tax dollars for. Should we have debated that issue awhile longer.. Guess what it was that bad old government again coming to the rescue, providing helicopters, national; guard, and any kind of other help, it was called FEMA. but if was handled poorly, thats right it was run by Bush and the Republicans. I remember Hurricane Andrew, I lived down in West Palm Beach, dam FEMA was on the job in a day, every truck I loaded up each morning at Sam's, and there were at least 10 per day went to Homestead, and that was on top my regular work. I did it because I am an American, when fellow Americans were in trouble, thats what Americans do, but oops I forgot again, I should of debated that one also.

I could continue on and on, but you will never get it, its the 21st century, the American way of life has already set the example for the world to follow, but on this issue America lags decades behind. I love it when they bring up the Candaian, of English government style healthcare. Sure you will find people who are not happy with it, but you think the 20% who don't have it in America, you think any small company who ever tried to get health insurance for its employess is happy with the american way.

Capitolism, the right to choose, unfortunately those with all the money, and the power get to choose whats the best for them, but not the ordinary citizen. Answer me this you are an american citizen you have worked your whole life, you get married, and you have some children. One of those children has a serious medical condition, that he will always have, and it costs alot of money to take care of him. Your employer has health insurance and you use up your alotted 2 Million in coverage, he has a choice he needs to get rid of you or lose health insurance for everyone, or somehow he just gets rid of you. This happens all the time, just recently to another very close friend, so now you have no job, but darn your child still needs all of that medical treatment each week. Thank god those pesky democrates introduced a bill, signed by Clinton to provide Insurance for that child. According to you we should of debated that one awhile longer, of course the child would of been DEAD by the time you finished debating. That almost happened Gingrich and the Republicans stalled on that bill also, or do you just choose to forget your past.
