I think you answered your question already. Would it matter? If you're a long, then no.

If the pps closed at .04 and hypothetically opened BB at .40, then those that bought in at .15 would lose alot initially. But that is where the risks with buying stocks comes into play. How do we know it wont jump to 1.60 the following week which would give that .15 buyer a green start.

Again, we could have a low pps and jump dramatically after.
