I really doubt the next 17 months is going to be all down. Come on the job numbers are getting better. Hell look at some of the housing stocks. Their sales are starting to turn up. Retails sales are starting to look brighter in some areas. Some of the airlines just got upgraded this past week. Hell how long has it been since an airline stock has been talked about let alone upgraded. Lets not forget that the last two years tech spening came to a stop. Lots of these players are running into capacity issues and network slowdowns. Just go back and look at how many big telecom and wireless players have said they are upgrading their networks this next year. Hell ATT said just a few weeks ago that their capital expediture budget for network upgrades this year was going to be 8.5 billion. How many little players will benefit off that. Also I bet anything that some of these big banks start to show some huge profits the next 2-3 q's. If housing sales are increasing so are loan applications and approvals. We might see the market come down lower but you can bet there will be plenty of people that have been on the sidelines looking to jump in on these pull backs. That last thing to remember is that the US economy went to hell fist and then the others followed. Now we are starting to show signs of a recovery others will start to follow soon enough. This time around the companies that survived this downturn will be much leaner and stronger and will probably not make to many of the mistakes they made in the past. I am not saying the market will not have its ups and downs along the way but anyone that thinks they will get back into the stock market at prices we saw last march are crazy. Just like the bull markets of 99-00 that was once in a life time to make crazy gains this past march was a once in a life time to pick up strong names very very cheap. I mean do you think that Bank of america will ever see under $3 again. I really doubt it. Do you think that JPM will see $14 again I really doubt it. I bet that AAPL will not see under 80 again. Bottom line I think things are getting better not worse.
