Jesse Jackson/Spallz

I basically agree with you on all of the points that you made about Jackson and the conditions of and solutions to problems that are present in the black community today. I think that going out of your way to call him a mafia type dude shadows your argument with a somewhat unintentional racist undertone. It gets attention, but the reader will automatically assume that your argument is based on more than just the facts and is formed to fit your view, which I really do not believe is racist. I know how careful you have to be to speak on these matters and not be seen as biased. I feel the same way as you do about the fact that we must become a color-blind society and treat everyone equally.

Most government actions result in enough resentment that any gains made are quickly lost in the private sector. Hate-crime legislation is a big mistake by creating speacial protected classes of Americans, and this will just give the hate-mongers another tool with which to drive people apart. It's kind of ironic that the government's supposed fix for the situation will probably cause more of the acts that it is trying to stop.

I do not know anything about the situation with the Jewish community. I never realized that there was so much hatred of Americans who happen to be Jewish by these hate groups until I heard about it in reports on hate crimes of vandalism and violence aimed at them. I really just don't get it.

That was interesting about your Grandmother's involvement in the Civil Right's Movement. I am sure that you are rightfully very proud of her. MLK and the Civil Right's movement changed this country for the better more than any other change in the last century. Much of our current prosperity is due to the unleashed work and productivity of people who were held back simply due to the race of their parents. Not to mention the fact that we all enjoy more of our freedoms now. The fight now is not so much Black vs. White as it is Citizen vs. Governmental Control.

The Libertarians and the Greens share much in the way of wanting more freedoms and less government control of it's citizens. The Greens however do recognize the need to protect the environment from man, so we do not agree on that topic entirely. And, yeah I know that the US government is the biggest polluter, but they are the biggest everything pretty much.

I read in another post of yours that you are usually the only Libertarian arguing against a horde of evil commie bassturds or far rightists or something to that effect. Many people do agree with your positions more than you would think, but you have to perfect your delivery of your message to effectively convey the message that you are trying to share. that's why I have a problem with that Boore guy the radio show host. He comes out in an adversarial manner and forms his argument to create an opposition to it. Instead, your arguments should be more in the style of Milton Friedman who uses a strong positive basis in economics with which to make a social or political point. To begin with a politically based argument and turn it into an economics solution to a problem makes it harder to get your point across, because people will be thinking on the level of your party affiliation and their perceived view of your positions instead of on the actual solution that you are trying to present.

That's just a little advice on how you might be more effective in selling or communicating your ideas and getting more positive feedback. Like they tell salespeople, just get them to start nodding their head in a "yes" manner and keep it going. Break through the buyer's resistance that we all naturally possess. Put the facts out there and your solution to the problem and get people to agree with you. That's how you sell ideas.
