Then using the term "elitist" is an inaccurate use of the word. Maybe, "wannabe elitist liberal" or "He thinks he is an elitist liberal" would be better phrases.

I've noticed many have tried to demonize the word "elitist" as if it is something negative. Personally, we need more "elitist" in both industry, education and government in our Country. The top 1% of our Country control more wealth than the 99% of the rest of us. Another word I find amusing that is used frequently is "socialism" or "socialist". It is hard to swallow that term when "socialism" is an economic system.. not a political one and last I checked.. yep.. 1% have all the wealth.

If there has been any "transfer of wealth" it has not been from the top down. I have yet to see anything "trickle" in our economy.
