I was surprisingly pleased with last night's format, and Jim Lehrer did an excellent job. It was, however, painfully obvious that GWB has not been the leader of this country for the past 4yrs - others around him have been. I ALMOST felt sorry for GWB last night - he appeared very tired, not very aware foreign affairs, apparently not capable of knowing the difference between OBL and SH, and his repeating the line, "it's a very hard job" did not work well for him at all. The dead air space when GWB was asked a question was almost painful to witness.

GWB's handlers knew what they were doing when they kept him away from press conferences for the past 4yrs.

JK hit all the points last night; he was the clear "winner".
We can now expect the GWB smear campaign to go into overdrive.
