Different people trade stocks according to their preference. I like to make money when a stock price rises BUT there are those who prefer the other side of that movement to profit from. I haven't studied up on shorting methods but a stock like this one gives both trading venues plenty of opportunity. Just look at the charts and you can see that. Positive movement correlates to positive news and vice versa. Plenty of both kinds of traders and investors here IMO. But the next few weeks belong to the "up" crowd, methinks, LOL

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.
