I see what you mean...

Did you happen to see the extraordinary amount of contracts that were taken away this last week in bcrx (not to mention the later raid on another play I am in and watching closely)... It was in the 100s of thousands of contracts "millions of shares" that don't hit the tapes. A friend of mine showed me his platform that shows the the hard data. Truly awesome to watch it transpire. They took the stock up mid week after hours and then dropped the price at open.. To take the stock down from the upper range at $13.47 to the mid $9.65, shaking the tree and successfully "" getting their needs met, while then later going nuetral on the stock.. Hmm?

It sure seems some one wanted to cover or get plenty of ammo for EUA to hit very soon.. One could only imagine if someone or something needed to cover about 3 mil shares give or take on the open market.. It would be pretty costly.. But go after the stock and tick it up after hours to only, take it down in the AM is a good way of getting the last few almonds, so to speak, from the week limbs on the options tree.. Not many are the wiser, at least the ones that may rely on what they read from the main stream..

"Health experts predict that new drugs to fight flu will soon be needed, as the virus is mutation prone. Many are in development -- furthest along is BioCryst's (BCRX.O) peramivir, which would be made and sold in partnership with Japan's Shionogi (4507.T). "
