I forget the exact figures but didn't the Dodge Ram show improvement in fuel efficiency on the order of 20-30%? If common highway mileage now becomes standard city mileage on an IVT equipped vehicle, there's about a 25% increase right there. Seems like the IVT would by itself satisfy the two requirements suggested by the article in post #530.
