Bulls, I think this product is being driven by the Retailer not the consumer. There are few advanteges to the consumer but many for the Retailer & the Contractor. Who buys the stuff First? Answer: The Retailer. I posted the other day:
My first thoughts on this New Product were very negative. I have been pondering the system for a while now and there really are quite a few positives. Especially for the retailer and the contractors.
Retail advantages:
1. Lower inventory space ( each base unit has many different faces (10 base units 40 face units )space saved is the space of 30 base units
2.Lower inventory equals lower investment $$$$$$
Contractor:
1. Build the house with the base cabinet unit in place then let the customer pick out the finish along with the wallpaper and carpet.
2. Install at the last minute and give the customer ability to custom their own home.
Can you think of any advantages.
