of course the customer owns the data and the rights to it. We just perform a service of reading and recovering it and storing it in a modern media. John has in the past bougtht tapes in bulk for himself and his scientific curiosity, but that has nothing to do with the service we perform today. With the data he recovered from those tapes, he has been able to build what i think is the world largest private collection of scientific research, but that has nothing to do with JBI, is his personal stuff.
