Perhaps you can comment on how your supposition and this report (not to mention Dell's & HP's statement on the quarter) can be reconciled.

How? Because First; that report either talks about "Strong" Q2 or Yearly, I don't see anything in that report on Q3, which is what I've been talking about. Second; IDC is reporting on "shipments of PC's" not "Semiconductors". Also, Dell and HP make Computers, they don't make semiconductors as their primary product. And btw, it's not "my supposition", it's data reported by the individual companies.

That's how my previous postings of 16 Semiconductor Companies lowering Q3 guidance is reconciled, not "supposed". If you reread the messages, I did specify "Semiconductor Companies" several times, and if people have an issue with what 16 semiconductor companies are saying, not matching what AMD is saying, then my suggestion is for those people to take it up with Hector RuiN.
