CPN- I backed away from CPN as well back about a year ago. It now appears that they have their debt pretty well managed. The financials look clean as well. CPN owns the newest and cleanest batch of power plants. Capacity now appears to be coming more in line. I liked what was said in the conference call. I think they are well worth the risk here at 3 bucks a share. Indeed they have are highly leveraged but it's looks to me that they are putting that debt to very good use.
That said, at $3 share it's a small opening position. I will add a little if it goes lower but most my adds would be based on improving fundamentals. I think we could see $5 a share by the end of 2005. I would listen to the CC.
