Well whoever owns CBS also owns MTV... would you call MTV a conservative station? They also own Comedy Central, but somehow that doesn't stop Jon Stewart from his increasingly nasty and decreasingly funny skewering of conservatives every night

Ownership does not necessarily dictate what's on the air, all it takes is to examine with a critical eye how stories are framed and what's left in, what's left out to see where the bias is. Simply looking at who owns the stations rather than the actual content of their newscasts seems like a pretty convenient way to avoid what's an obvious fact to everyone else.

FWIW, my older brother, who is a democrat, is an editor at NBC News. He estimates that roughly 90% of the people he works with (in other words, 90% of the people doing the work that results in what goes on the air at NBC) are democrats. That's good enough for me.
