No that is the total debt, about half of it is "owed" to other government agencies including pension funds and social security, see http://www.publicdebt.treas.gov/opd/opds062002.htm.

I see that even the Dow managed to turn green here and that is toward the end of the day, however thi morning sell off did not have the required caracteristic of cathartic sell off, it is just like the runs we had on 6/28 on 7/3-7/5, I think that the real bottom will still be sometime next week, Wednesday 7/17 is a good potential turn date, maybe at 2:22?
