Since I think you mentioned that you are an EE I wonder if you have considered the effect on our overall power supply system in the US if a significant number of small solar units were put in use. IE: no change required to the existing grid mechanically, reduction in the "carbon footprint" free up grid construction to allow maintenance, bury lines, etc. AND decrease our dependence on the variety of non-renewable fuels we now use. Is it really feasible or just a green pipe dream that has a totally unrealistic cost / benefit ratio?
