US Government is suing Kerr-McGee, now part of Anadarko, for liabilities stemming from pollution and clean up its oil and gas liabilities.

Law360, New York (May 22, 2009) -- The U.S. government has accused Kerr-McGee Corp. and its successor Anadarko Petroleum Corp. of fraudulently avoiding hundreds of millions in environmental liabilities by dumping them on Tronox Inc. before spinning it off in 2006, joining a lawsuit Tronox filed earlier this month."
