Dear Publishers,

As a result of recent controversy surrounding the distribution of Gay Television Network on Dish Network, we felt we owed you an explanation.

We are sending you evidence of the existing agreement we have with Echostar Communications Corporation (Dish) so you can pass this information on to your readers. We are also sending you a copy of a letter we sent to Dish this morning.

Co-Media, Inc. and Triangle Multi-Media have invested approximately $7 million in money and commitments as of this date to develop GTN. This was done based on commitments from Dish Network. Lacking any other reasonable explanation, it would now appear that Dish has developed a slight case of homophobia.

The contract with Echostar (Dish) represents a $4 million plus revenue stream for them. Echostar (Dish) was selected because of its professional business practices and locking capabilities, which provide easy access to the gay community without intruding into the living rooms of anyone who does not wish us to be there.

GTN intends to broadcast February 2nd. It is our sincere desire that Dish Network honor its commitment and broadcasts GTN. With the present delay, this might not be possible on February 2nd, but there is no reason we cannot go on the air in the first two weeks of February.

As you know, recent statements by your company have caused us irreparable harm, both with our customer base and our programming providers. Since we have a valid agreement with you to go on the air and to sell your dishes to the gay community, we are extremely perplexed as to the position apparently taken by “your public spokesman.”

The purpose of this communication is to advise you that we are proceeding to honor our commitment to go on the air on February 2nd via your satellite network. Accordingly, we request that you immediately notify us that you intend to fulfill your written and verbal commitments.

We are available to meet with you in any location of your choosing within the next two working days.
