...along with Ballantine and Schaefer, which all were big sellers until the '60's or '70's...
...I believe that Schaefer was once the largest-selling in the U.S...
...but, I guess time and tastes changed...
...can't imagine my father drinking some raspberry microbrew...or even Corona with lime for that matter...
...the bottom line is that the Rheingold that I was once forced to drink one Easter night in the late '70's was not a pleasant-tasting brew...
...very harsh with a strong and bitter after taste...
...my belief is that Drinks' attempt to "recapture" some of that old New York nostalgia will not be very successful...
...Rheingold is one of those "acqired tastes", which I doubt the generations below me would appreciate...
...I'll have to try one soon and report back...Duke...
