Who knows...but the cost to run that thing has to be much higher than the cost of the hard wired utility.

Diesel gensets are inefficient beasts, around 30% efficient or worse. If they can't pay the electric bill, how are they going to get fuel to run it? Leaving the cost of the lease of the equipment aside, it doesn't make sense.

If they are going to put money into that genset, why not just pay their bills?

I'd like to know the source of ABigNail's rumor.
