Day traders with an account equity balance of $25,000+ margin acct. can trade as many times as they like without restriction. This is an absurd rule put in place after the dot com crash.

I believe you might not have a margin account by what you are saying, but I might be wrong. Most day traders with those account balances are prob trading w/ margin accts, not cash.

Thus, if you wanna day trade for real, have an equity margin account with over $25k and you don't have to worry about it...unless you get over leveraged into your margin then they will sell off some of your securities to get their money back without even telling you, so be careful with that... Some brokers don't allow pinks to be traded on margin too.

Also, different brokerages have different rules concerning cash accounts and margin accounts. Usually cash accounts have the 3 day rule. Check with your broker to be sure.
