Re: "Get me off the grid", I understand totally however, the reality is that that would require a huge investment in hardware, BUT the beauty of the "instant solar" system should be that for a reasonable investment your home needs can be supplemented with the installation of solar, efficiently since excess power can be sent back to the grid for credit, and all of this cuts down on the total grid load meaning the power companies may not have to expand as quickly as they otherwise might have giving us some overall gains without government and industry being involved. Sounds like win / win to me.
