BrassOnes, I have immense respect and gratitude for your service. Make no mistake, I have never been in the military, just worked as an engineer in the oil industry. I can tell some interesting true stories but I doubt they can compare to yours. When I was young and "in shape" I was often mistaken for one of you guys because I was in places where you guys have been known to go. My father was a decorated Naval Aviator so I absorbed a lot of his attitudes and lingo growing up and I almost did a career in the military but decided against it in the end because I was married with small children when I earned my degree. I often wish I had done it.
Now on the topic of cars, I found a 1986 Ferrari Testarossa with only 10,000 miles on it, but I checked the specs on it and a corvette Z06, a nissan GTR or even and turbocharged modified & dynotuned Mustang GT that is available locally here in Houston will outperform the old Ferrari. Since I had the bad habit of driving sports cars I have owned like I stole them, I'm thinkin one of those newer ones might be a better idea for me. Until then, I will restrict my thrill rides to my Honda GL-1800 as it has held up better than any sportscar I have ever owned.
