I started in 1996 for a small company named Western Wireless. We had employee stock purchase program and I got a lot of stock at about $6/share for a while. Then we spun off and became VoiceStream (which was later bought out by T-Mobile). Long story short, all those $6 shares, became $160 shares during the dot-net days. Man, I was loving life. I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee for cash right of the lot, got me a Rolex and took a month long vacation in Europe.
Those were some fun times. But I was single back then, too. :)
