Is is a custom over there to go topless?

4-5 years ago I went with Marianne to Ontario with the kids. We went to the beach on Lake Huron and she immediately removed her top. I told her she probably wants to put that back on before a cop comes by.

later that day I learned that it is in fact legal in Ontario for a woman to go topless, all because of a case of some woman in Guelph that walked down the street 1/2 naked. I remember the story from almost 30 years ago. She finally won her case.
