Think I figured it out. Huge chatter and rapid posts over on the AVNR with speculatino over a buyout announcement withuin days (one person claims pre-market monday), and posts re: "thanks Goldman", shorts are covering, etc. There is also a suggestion that TEVA has been accumulating shares in the $2 range in order to average down cost per share, etc. Lots of chatter but no confirmation that any of it is legitimate. Anyone interested in AVNR may want to check it out.
