MM272; Yes, thats generally true...I myself, watched as I personally bumped a stock I hold 'up' 5 ticks (.0055 to .006) yesterday at the close w/ my last minute 15K buy at the 'ask' which was 7 ticks above the 'bid' of .0053. Sometimes this principle is manipulated by MM's for , whatever reason...like when you try to buy a tick 'above' the ask & still can't get your trade to go thru (perhaps they're holding-out for some reason---don't know for sure). I try to trade using this practice, especially when I'm 'adding' to a stock I already hold but as in the case of a stock I'm buying into for the first time & I don't have a lot of funds , I sometimes buy at the 'last trade' price. I figure I'm in a 'neutral' position that way.... I'm neither , helping or hurting the PPS.
Thats my .017cents worth anyway & I am by no means , an expert.
